ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Personality Academics
Kind and affectionate, Aiden loves people! He greets you with his amazing smile, and is eager to get to know you better. When Aiden gets to know and love you, he enjoys having a close relationship. He responds to his caregivers with hugs and back rubs, so they know he cares. Aiden is an empathetic young man, who doesn’t like to see others hurt or sad. School is fun and enjoyable for Aiden. Aiden is in a Life Skills program at school, where he receives many supports. He has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) which identifies his areas of need as communication skills, social skills, and fine and gross motor skills. He also gets along well with his peers.
Special Considerations Matching Considerations

Aiden is nonverbal, and communicates effectively through the use of signs, gestures and his iPad. He has physical limitations which affect his coordination and gross motor skills, and is working with an occupational therapist. Aiden also has a Child and Youth Worker that works with him at home and in the community. When he is distressed, Aiden will need support around appropriate behavioural responses.

Aiden needs a forever family who will be able to support him long term. His adoptive family will need to be able to work with a team of supportive services to help him reach his full potential and celebrate all of his successes.
Openness Questions?
Aiden has two sisters who have been previously adopted. He is only able to see them every few months due to distance, but they video chat regularly. Aiden also has contact with his great uncle and great grandmother once a month. Aiden also desires openness with his foster family. Please see Aiden's profile on the AdoptOntario Waiting Children list with the case ID 9700.
