ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Personality Academics
Allen has a big smile that lights up the room. He is a friendly young boy who is shy when first meeting new people, but is very loving and open to receiving affection from people he knows well. He is well liked by his friends and caregivers, and gets along well with others.

Ruby is a playful child with a wonderful sense of humor. She is very insightful and is learning to share her thoughts and feelings regarding her past experiences. She can be very kind and caring towards those she trusts, and particularly enjoys playing with her older brother Allen.
Allen enjoys school. With a big smile on his face, he will happily share what he did for the day. He is in a developmental skills classroom and integrates into a mainstream class for part of the day to allow him socialization with peers of his own age. He is able to follow the classroom rules and routines with some assistance. Allen receives the support of an Educational Assistant in the classroom to meet daily school expectations. He is working hard with developing his reading and writing skills. Allen perseveres and makes an effort when responding to learning challenges. He needs occasional reminders to stay on task and refocus his attention.

Ruby likes attending school and playing with her friends. Some accommodations are in place to help her achieve success in reading and writing. Establishing routines to keep organized is an area Ruby has been working on. With her inquisitive nature, she is very mindful of the feelings of her friends in school. She shows initiative and interest in learning, and enjoys exploring new topics.
Special Considerations Matching Considerations

Allen has been working on developing more positive emotional regulation skills in weekly counseling. He requires patient and confident parents who can provide him a great deal of nurturing to enhance his emotional development. Allen also participates in regular therapeutic support to address past trauma.

Ruby is a physically healthy and active child, and speech and language services have been involved to support her. Ruby has experienced multiple losses in her life that affect her ability to trust adults. She is learning how to share her worries and frustrations in ways that best express what she is trying to convey. She participates in therapy to gain understanding of her past experiences and to learn effective emotional coping strategies.

This siblings First Nation Band is actively involved in planning for their future. They will do best preferably in an Indigenous family, however non-Indigenous families will also be considered.

Allen, Ruby and their older 14-year-old sister will need a home together. They would need a two-parent family who can demonstrate the skills required to meet the needs of children who have complex needs. Reasonable proximity to where their where birth family members reside will allow them to maintain meaningful and beneficial connections as well.
Openness Questions?
Ruby and Allen are part of a sibling group of four. They will greatly benefit from maintaining their established birth family relationships through openness. This includes regular contact with their older brother. Allen and Ruby also have a relationship with their birth mother and paternal aunt. An Openness Order will define the type and frequency of contact they will share with their birth family. Ideally, Ruby, Allen and their 14-year-old sister will need a home together. Please see Allen and Ruby's profiles on the AdoptOntario Waiting Children list with the case IDs 5357 and 15957.
