ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Personality Academics
Being loving and affectionate is what Trevor does best! This delightful little boy has a wonderful smile. He shines with structure and predictability, and once he forms a positive connection with someone, he will snuggle and want to hug the person he feels connected to. Trevor attends a Catholic school and is in a special, life skills program, to assist him in learning day-to-day tasks and appropriate social interactions in a safe and supportive environment.
Special Considerations Matching Considerations

With the support of school and home, Trevor continues to work hard in meeting his developmental milestones. He is non-verbal, but does understand what is said to him and he has been able to learn some basic sign language. Trevor needs support in his development, which requires caregivers to provide a higher level of supervision, structure and understanding of his needs. He continues to learn and his skills are developing with the daily support of his carers. Trevor and his care providers attend a program to assist with recommendations and planning for Trevor's needs. He also has additional resources including Occupational Therapy, Speech and Language Therapy and is being followed by a children’s hospital.

This affectionate boy will need a loving and caring family that can devote time and energy to helping him meet his needs and developmental milestones. He has done well in a home with two-parent caregivers where there were also other (older) children who have had an interest in him as well. Parents with an understanding of developmental needs; a willingness to learn/teach sign language with Trevor; strong advocacy skills; and the ability to provide structure and consistency while providing love, affection and care would all be ideal. Trevor has proven that when supported by those with an understanding of his needs and a focus to assist him he can reach his maximum potential
