ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Personality Academics
Zane is kind, considerate and thoughtful. He is fun to chat with, even though he may be guarded or shy when you first meet! Zane might very well be working in a kitchen of a restaurant when he gets older, as he enjoys menu planning, grocery shopping and cooking. Zane is in a specialized classroom and receives accommodations in school. He is able to work at a modified level, utilizing an Individualized Education Plan. His favourite subjects are gym and math. Zane does best with peers who are on his developmental level.
Special Considerations Matching Considerations

Zane has had some early childhood experiences of trauma and is currently in therapy to help him process these experiences. Zane is an extremely hardworking and focused youth, but does require modifications to help him with learning as well as mastering daily tasks. Providing Zane with concrete instructions and time to process directions and information is helpful. He benefits from extra-curricular activities to help him foster his social skills and increase his self-confidence.

The agency is seeking a family who has an understanding of trauma and its effects. Zane’s adoptive family will be patient, loving and reasonable with expectations. A family who shares or can support Zane’s cultural background would be preferred.
