ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Personality Academics
Ryland is a young man who isn’t afraid to try new things! He can initially seem a little shy, but quickly warms up to people to carry on long conversations. Ryland has a very witty sense of humour and an amazing memory for funny circumstances. He has a big heart and always wants to make sure that there is enough to go around for everyone. Ryland currently attends a mainstream school where he does have some accommodations in the area of Math and Language. His teachers and support staff speak very highly of him and he is well liked by his classmates.
Special Considerations Matching Considerations

Ryland’s language skills do fall slightly below other peers his age. When Ryland is in a busy setting he may not be able to process or express language at the same rate as other people his age. Ryland also needs some assistance around self-regulating his emotions.

Ryland would do best with either a two-parent family or a single parent. He would do well in a home where he is the only child or where the other children are older than him. An adoptive family would also need to support openness between Ryland and his siblings, as well as his birth mother.
Openness Questions?
Ryland currently visits with his birth mother and birth siblings. He would benefit from ongoing contact with these individuals post-adoption. Frequency will be considered given geographical distance and the wishes of his siblings. Please see Ryland's profile on the AdoptOntario Waiting Children list with the case ID 14163.
