ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Personality Academics
Once Michael warms up to you, you will see his engaging personality shine and will laugh along with his great sense of humour! His curious nature and infectious smile endear him to others. Sweet and affectionate, Michael gets along well with both adults and children alike. Michael likes to be helpful and will pitch in at home by setting the table, clearing the dishes, putting his laundry in the hamper and helping to take care of the family dog. Michael loves animals and is kind and gentle with the family pets. An eager student, Michael enjoys going to school each day. He is in a small classroom setting with a curriculum targeted towards his needs and strengths. Working at his own pace, Michael is making consistent progress at school. His teacher shares that he listens well, follows the classroom routines and has good relationships with the other children.
Special Considerations Matching Considerations

Michael responds very well to the consistent routines, structure and boundaries. Encouragement and affection are really important to Michael and help him thrive. He may benefit from play therapy once he is settled into his adoptive family.

A love of the outdoors, an understanding of Michael’s need to be active, a patient demeanour and a good sense of humour are great attributes that would be part of a strong adoptive family for Michael. He loves animals and would enjoy being a part of a family with pets. They will need to be open to accessing community resources and comfortable advocating for him to ensure he has the opportunity to achieve his full potential. While he does well with other children, Michael might do best in a family where he is the only child or the youngest child by many years, so that he can receive the care and attention that he needs.
Openness Questions?
Michael has two siblings who were placed together in another adoptive home. He enjoys having visits with his brother and sister and would be best matched with a family who is willing to maintain some kind of contact with his siblings and their adoptive family.
