Education Day is an excellent opportunity for adoptive and pre-adoptive families, and the professionals who work with them, to learn and connect with one another.


Keynote Speaker

Judy Archer

Judy Archer is the Manager of the Permanency and Adoption Support Services team. Judy has over 40 years of experience working in the field of adoption, foster care, and special needs. She has also had the privilege of providing a myriad of mental health services in First Nation communities on Vancouver Island and at family services agencies in both Vancouver and Northern Ontario.

AdoptOntario Education and Profile Event

AdoptOntario will be providing information and education on the matching process, and some tips tools and techniques on how to understand children’s profiles, special needs labels and questions to inform your thinking.  Eight children between the ages of 7-17 will be profiled with varying needs.
